Proud of our roots

Our roots date back to the 1930s, when the grandfather of the current directors first visited England from Ireland to seek construction work. Since then the family and its businesses have evolved, and today DWJ Harkin is jointly owned and run by brothers Danny, William and John Harkin, succeeding their father John, who founded the company in 1986.

We’re proud of our Irish roots. For more than 30 years, we’ve been a proud member of the Irish business community here in Birmingham. The business and our employees continue to support local initiatives including Birmingham’s St. Patrick’s Day parade and The Páirc Festival.
